Charles Spurgeon, 19th century Pastor once wrote, “Faith is the plan’s root and love is the plant’s blossom”
A root establishes the base of the plant. It holds it firmly to the ground, fighting off the wind and weather. The root draws from the soil nutrients required for health and growth: water and food.
The blossoms appear in the warmth of the sun. In a healthy plant, blossoms provide beauty for the eye and fragrance for the bystander. In time, the blossoms create fruit to be enjoyed by other living creatures. Inside the fruit are seeds used in reproduction, continuing this cycle continually.
Faith is the root while the blossom is love. Let us feed our roots, enjoy the blossoms and spread good seeds in the lives of others today.
